A little update

November 14th, 2009

Lucia has busy days during this recovery period. Various doctors appointments, tests, and therapy make a full and exhausting day for both Monica and Lucia. No major changes to report, just hard work in progress. Thanks to all of you who came out for the fundraiser and who continue to drop cards with encouragement for Lucia. – Lisa B.

Hi Lucia, I was getting ready to send you another letter via the SRPD when it occurred to me that it might be possible to get a message to you this way. So glad to hear that you are healing. Just take it easy, OK? You’ve got lots of time. I remember how grateful I was for everyone’s support, moral, financial, everything – a friend kept our dogs for almost two months and she had dogs and cats of her own. Other friends shared their home with us for the same amt. of time because we had sold our house. I felt as though we were wrapped in God’s love. You are, too.
    Love, Sally and Andy

My name is Rodney, from PA. I heard about your story and just wanted to wish you well & to get back to work. Lol…. I want to thank you for serving our nation. Even though you are in Santa Rosa. You are still serving our nation. I am a fellow Navy Hospital Corpsman. I served with the Marines. But I know the hard work of everyday life. You are a strong woman, or you would never be a police officer. I can understand that while not just on duty, but off duty you need to be on your guard. I just wanted you to know that I understand, and thank you. I only wish you the best of luck in your recovery. May God bless you & your family in your needs! Thank you once again.

Hi Lucia, We heard about your accident and are sending you much love and good wishes for your rapid healing. We remember what a delightful kid you were and how much fun you were to have around. Eat plenty of garlic – we hear it cures everything!
Love to you and your parents,
